Silversea City

To most, Silversea City is a rumor, a tall tale of the Lightpoint Lands. "Have you heard about Silversea City, the hidden city of the Silversea Desert, " it always begins, followed with an overly complex explanation for how to enter the city that beggars belief. Yet, a town calling itself a city does hide among the scorching sands of the Silversea Desert. Entrance into this city is a closely kept secret, and only a few in the Lightpoint Lands can lay claim to having set foot in Silversea City.

The Silversea Gates

However it is that an adventurer enters Silversea City, it is undoubtedly tied to the Silversea Gates. This massive monument sits on the edges of the most treacherous dunes of the desert proper. The maroon stones that comprise the gates, cut from the red stone of the mountains to the west, would take at least two dozen men to lift, and deep, ornate cuts weave their way around these stones, inscribed with hundreds of runes, written in a strange mixture of abyssal and gnomish characters. Though it is commonly accepted that these runes carry in them the pulse of the arcane, nobody outside of the wizards from Silversea City understand their magical purpose.   The gate is half ruined and of an age unknown to scholars. Sometimes, wizards from the mysterious collective called the Silversea Walkers come by to maintain the gate, or pass through it into or out of the city. Passing through the gate without knowledge of how to enter the city is to a death sentence. The sands of the desert stretch for miles, the sun scorches during the day, and when the sun falls the sands become freezing to the touch.

Magics of the Walkers

The city is managed by a mysterious group of wizards who call themselves the Silversea Walkers. These wizards are a collective knowledge-base of the Lightpoint Lands is rumored to be broader and more researched than any found in the Lightpoint Lands, though the librarians at the Century Stone in Shirai would dispute this assertion. They collect their knowledge by spreading themselves to the far corners, always staying within view of the Lightpoint.   They enable their movements across the land by trading their unique magical items and concoctions. Their bartering skills are renown across the Lightpoint Lands. Many of their tradesman and women perform tricks and shows for the children of the town, and give free tastes of different brews and potions. Many also enjoy the culinary arts, and partake in local fairs to take down recipes. Because of this, a Silversea Walker can almost always been seen with a journal on their person.
