New Amnoc

New Amnoc is a recently relocated village on the northern edges of Fountain Dominion lands in the Lightpoint Lands.

Ruler

While ostensibly a settlement under the purview and authority of the Fountain Dominion and their representative of law and order in Goldtown, the soldier Bowme is master of the town guard in New Amnoc, and has managed the affairs of the town largely independently.

Notable Traits

New Amnoc is one of the safer settlements west of the Golden River. The villagers live in the underground ruins of an old fort, known as Fort Mizzareen in another life. The high walls protect the villagers, who hunt the woods to the east and mine into the dirt and stone within the ruins.

Known For

In addition to being known as the rare growing settlement in the Goldtown Plains, New Amnoc is known for the family of insectoid creatures who call themselves the Thri-kreen and live amongst the villagers. A quiet and ponderous lot, they were found within the woods, huddled starving around a fire, and welcomed in by Bowme, in fulfillment of a promise he made, or so the poets say.

Shops

Bowme's General Goods

Run by an elf named Bowme, the shop is also the center of town, and Bowme's abode, sitting within the walls but before one descends into the fort proper.

Kaj's Armor, Jak's Weapons

Twin Dwarf brothers make arms and armor for the denizens of New Amnoc and interested travelers. Kaj, affable and boisterous, does all the talking, while Jak, always laughing, cracks jokes and puts the customers at ease. Their two-pronged assault on the senses have gained them a reputation for earning more than fair prices for their goods.

Larkin's Mines

A human entrepeneur, gruff but talkative, has discovered gems hidden amidst the stone and dirt in the Fort. He has hired some hands to mine these gemstones, which he sells. However, their is some conflict between he and Bowme, who fears that the mining may harm the integrity of the Fort.
