Milling About

Founder:

  Milton Miller is the founder of Milling About. Milling About originally started as a large stationary shop with one of Alstead's largest Grain Mills. After he lost his hand to the machine, he decided that life was too short to sit around in one place. He sold his farm and shop and designed a small, portable mill and purchased a carriage to travel with. He opened the traveling Milling About 2 years after he lost his hand, and hired Eustis Quickthumb to perform most of the milling duties. Eustis is a young gnome with bandages wrapped around his hands and fingers. He doesn't speak much, but when he does he tends to make raunchy and inappropriate comments about the renowned performers of the era. Milton Miller is a more respectful man, often trying to cover for his employee. Milton Miller is a short human in his mid to late 50's. He has short, salt and peppered hair and thin rimmed glasses that hang from a string around his neck.  

Shop Appearance

  Milling About is a medium sized shop that is usually operated out of the back of his wagon. The Mill is attached to the rear of the carriage and a large canvas canopy is stretched out above the tables of freshly milled wares that Milton Miller is selling that day.

Specialty Wares

  Fey Powder is a snow white powder that is considered an illegal drug in most towns and cities. It is illegal to use, but not to own. It produces a euphoric numbing sensation when snorted, followed by a jolt of energy. For the next 5 minutes, you gain advantage on Dexterity and Strength checks and saving throws, as well as advantage on initiative rolls. For the next 5 minutes, you have disadvantage on Intelligence and Wisdom Checks and saves. You also can not sleep or be put to sleep until the effects wear off.

    Addiction- If you take more than one serving of Fey Powder within a 24 hour period, you must make an addiction saving throw: Wisdom Save vs DC 10+Number of doses (Max 10). Upon a Fail, you gain a point of exhaustion. Upon a critical fail, you are considered addicted and will require a daily use of Fey Powder to function normally. For each day that you fail to satisfy your addiction, you must subtract 1 from all Initiative rolls until you satisfy this need.
