Landelline

Landelline is a settlement on the Eastern edge of Goldtown. It his named after its founding family, the Landellines.  

Ruler

Landelline is ruled by the Sheriff of Goldtown, though he often delegates the immediate duties of law and order to a depuity within the town.  

Notable Traits

Landelline Manor stands tall near the town, outside the town boundaries proper but always looming large over the settlement. It is the home of the Landelline a family, a noble house in the Fountain Dominion. The town takes his name from this family, who have inhabited these lands for generations.  

Known For

Despite a smaller population and iits distance from the Fountain Dominion proper, Landelline is known as a political crucible, where jockying powers meet, oftentimes to bloody ends. Factions such as the Unseen Hand are embedded in the city, and anyone planning to expand their influence in the Lightpoint Lands would do well to make their presence known in Landelline.

Curners' Jewellers

Curner is a hyper-friendly bourgeoisie elf who has dedicated herself to jewellery. Her gems are the shiniest in all the land, or so she says.

 

Fashionable Arrival

Fashionable Arrival is the shop of Doreen Talltail, a Dragonborn seamstress of much renown in the Goldtown Plains. Her family has been the official clothier of the Landelline family, a point of pride.

 

The Handler's Goods & Services

The Mysterious being who goes simply by, "the Handler," offers some musical instruments and gaming sets at his shop in the marketplace, though word is he has an "advanced stock," for only those he considers to be friends.

     

Sarko's Cart

Sarko the Dragonborn is a jovial and loud, and would love to sell his delicious raw foods to anyone with a mouth. A fan of eating foods raw and an opponent of the, his words, disgusting and unnatural abomination of a skill known as, "cooking," Sarko will preach is strange culinary convictions to anyone willing to lend him an ear.

 

Landelline Inn

Landelline Inn is run by the flowing Pasquesi, a friendly gnome prone to wearing a jester's cap and doing comedy at nights in his inn.

 

Activities

 

Open Air Dice & Cards

A set of tables under tents in the center of the Market Road of Landelline, the open air tables allow plays to sit down and gamble. While legal under GSA law, gambling is closely monitored. Guardsman Roy is always close by to settle disputes, remove cheaters, and, if necessary, call the town guard to quell any violent unrest that arises from the games of chance.

 

There are three types of games within the tent: Par Cheese, Shark's Shuffle(A card game played with the standard Dominion-suited playing cardset, and Roller's Welcome, a dice game unique to the Goldtown Plains. Downtime weeks can be spent gambling, and will reference Xanathar's Guide, pg. 130, and spending this time gambling raises the maximum betting limits on all games to 1000gp.

Landelline Champions League

The LGL is the premier competitive wrestling organization in the Goldtown Plains, and the most popular sports attraction in all of the Fountain Dominion's claimed lands in the west. The LGL hosts weekly events and sometimes daily "locals-only" exhibitions. Its chief booker and barker, Dusty Mann, is known from Landelline to Grand Amnoc for his exceptional matches and for the grandiose, operatic stories that follow his permormers cross their careers. Rules follow along thje recommendations of Xanathar's Guide for Pit Fighting, pg. 131. Active Tag and Trios matches will contain a "Hot Tag" mechanic, allowing a player to take an extra action if they've held their action for a "hot tag," on their turn before their partner tags them in.

Cries and Carriers

Cries and Carriers deliver news and pass messages all over the Fountain Dominion. Their reach extends beyond the Goldtown Plains, deep into Severian's Reach. There are whispers that the business, ostensibly existing only to deliver the news and pass messages between folks, is a cover for more illicit underground activities, but ownership by the noble Tiefling Philosophist Marques protects the orgination from deep inquiries by Fountain Dominion authorities.
