Fennig

Fennig is a small settlement on the Northwestern edge of the Goldtown Plains. It was founded by a senatorial family, who built an armored knight statue and fountain at the center of the settlement.

Ruler

Long ago, Fennig was ruled by the noble Fennig Family, but that family has fell to one of the many purges of Severian, the High Sentinel of the Fountain Dominion. Now nominally managed by the Sheriff of Goldtown, Fennig has been left largely to its own devices, and has suffered for it, as villagers give up on their fields and flee further west, to escape the banditry of the Goldtown Plains.

The statue at the center of town stands immaculate and clean at all times, maintained by a charitable sect of monks calling themselves the Kindess of the Animus. Alms are given at the foot of the pond that sits in front of the statue, and silver and copper coins glitter in the water, where young children and foolhardy adventurers have made wishes to the statue for protection and good fortune.

Known For

That family that founded fennig has long since been purged by Severian the High Sentinel, their names officially removed from the history books and legal documents of the Fountain Dominion. Fennig itself has remained largely stagnant without the support of its founding family, and the few remaining villagers have roots in the land that run for generations.

Molly Mary is a strange woman, but if pestered enough by the party, she will offer to purchase various animal parts, give psychic readings, and sell some of her restricted, magical stock. She insists the party remain in the front room whenever they do business.
