The Telantean People

The survivors of the destruction of the continent of Atlantis, during the Cataclysm.
They have a two-tiered caste system, which is much less formal now than it was generations ago. There are still two languages, Telantean and High Telantean. These languages are not related, some scholars believe that High Telantean is related to the dead language of the Alfen.
The population of the Empire of Zygaria is mostly Telantean, and nearly half of the former Empire of Jamul is. As one travels closer to the Xythian kingdom there tend to be fewer Telanteans. Likewise many in Western Jamul still speak Xythian daily, where in Eastern Jamul Telantean is the most common language.
The population of Kush is almost completely Telantean, as is that of Stygia. Non-Telanteans in Stygia tend to be of Lemurian stock, while those few in Kush are mostly Xythian (and enslaved).
Physical characteristics: Dark, bronze skin; Eyes dark, black to amber; wavy or curly, dark, black to brown; Sturdily built with broad, strong faces. See the Names doc, use Hyperborean names.
