Samhain at Easthome

Today is a gloriously crisp fall morning, and the first day of the Festival of Samhain. You travel with the Horseriver clan entourage and some of their guests along the Southwitch way road, a broad, cobbled and paved highway wide enough to fit six men across on horseback. The clan chief, Lord Waldemar, leads the caravan as you ride into Easthome. You’ll be sharing a room in his massive townhome with some other guests, but since space is at a premium during the festival, you know you’re lucky to at least have a guaranteed bed. You heard that last year, more than one duel was fought over the right to bed down in a public room of an inn.
