The Notorious Session 27: Crows

General Summary

The party continued their journey to the trade city of Aceitunas.They started to notice parts of the forest that were previously on fire. They stopped and noticed that new undergrowth was growing already. This event is strangely quick based on their understanding of the natural growth of plants. A few of the members knew about the Goddess Natrines Law of Nature. A law of nature that demonstrates an unnatural reclaiming of the lands that aren't maintained or used for harvesting. The party stopped traveling to discuss the Goddess Natrines Law of Nature.
While stopped, they noticed some of the new tree sprouts quickly picked up by some blurry entity. They also heard many high-pitched and quick laughing noises. The party learned that these creatures are indeed quicklings. The party started to interact with the quicklings, in which Allen Eillee's coin purse got stolen. Solstice Cyrawas able to catch one of the quicklings, and she made a trade for the quicklings life and Allen Eillee's coin purse. She asked the quicklings if they would be willing to be called upon for various pranks down the road. She told the quicklings of a plan to prank Vera'lyth Aeceris. She also said it was a prank that involved training Vera'lyth Aecerisand her arms of orge-strength. She asked the quicklings if they could place 5-pound stones in Vera'lyth Aeceris's bag as they traveled.
The party continued down the road to Aceitunas. They came across an old farmstead and a field with a scarecrow. The fire went all around the farmstead and didn't impact any of the structures. As they approached, they heard a demonic cawing noise from the sky. They looked back and noticed a massive deep crow flying over and seeking out prey from the fire's aftermath. It dove down onto the party just as they approached the barn. The crow missed Solstice Cyra but snagged one of the horses. Wincen Gamble notices one of the horses getting killed. The now dying horse prevented the cart from moving into the barn. As the fighting ensued with the deep crow Wincen Gamble cast spare the dying on the horse. Allen Eillee cast a healing spell to bring the horse back with some more vitality. The horse freaking out because the deep crow was nearby. It leaped up and tried to escape. The deep crow bites the horse and permanently killed it. Wincen Gamble witnessed this gruesome killing, and his newfound faith in Angharradh is faltering. The party was able to finish the fight with the deep crow.
