The Notorious session 24: Death Tracks Us & The Resurrection

The party enjoyed the very awkward lessons and fishing tips by Sabi. They traveled deeper into Everdine and noticed a cathedral being built or renovated. They also had this feeling they were being watched either by the citizens or even something else or someone else. As they got to the center of Everdine they started to smell the malting process and hops of Biorne's Brewery. They noticed Biorne leaving his brewery with two kegs of Ale. He was making a delivery to the Fool's Cup. Solstice offered to help Biorne carry kegs into the tavern. With getting help he fetched two additional kegs of Ale to give to Ailent.
Some flirty gestures where made to Ailent from Solstice as she dropped off the kegs. Ailent called Solstice out on the flirting and if she had urges she is at the wrong place and that Anne runs the brothel in town called Mysteries of Everdine. Solstice was a little offended by this but the party ended up getting a round of drinks paid by Biorne. The party ended up having a lot fun while drinking and joking around with each other. They made a friend out of Biorne and even Ailent.
The party was having a great time and in a playful manner Solstice tried to flick a pebble at Wincen. She missed him however she was able to hit Ailent square in the back of the throat and caused her to start choking. A pat on the back by Biorne helped. Later on, Wincen, Vera, Sullivan and Allen thought it would be a great idea to prank Solstice by taking her to the brothel after she got completely trashed on the drinks they received. So the party decided to leave The Fool's Cup and head to Mysteries of Everdine.
As the party was leaving, two people wearing purple cloaks came in and sat down in the tavern area. They noticed that the door was locked when they tried to leave. As some magical field was preventing them from leaving. Allen dispelled the arcane barrier. With that information Sullivan stayed back to keep an eye on the figures while his comrades attempted to take Solstice to the brothel.
While leaving for the brothel the party started to talk about the strange people. Solstice said there was something strange with Ailent and she has been taking notes about the purple cloaked people. While that was happening Sullivan was watching the purple cloaked people as they disapeared. Sullivan cast see invisablility and he ended up seeing four people in purple cloaks instead of the two. That is when one looked at Sullivan and said you shouldn't have done that. Sullivan yelled "Help".
The party heard the call for help and rushed in. Then a fight ensued. Sullivan was able to subdue the purple cloacked individual that gave him the warning. As the fighting progressed, one of the purple cloaked individuals during the fight cast a fireball. The fireball hit the bar counter with disastrous effects. This blast killed Ailent and turned her into a ashen body. Wincen was the first to find her body. In a flick of rage, he used all his abilities to try and kill the one that cast fireball. However, another purple cloaked individual cast invisibility on the three remaining cloaked individuals. The last purple cloak person cast teleportation and three of the four escaped.
Sullivan went back to the one that was subdued. He was able to confiscate the following from them. The spellbook and a ring with CMF on it. This ring is a represenatation of the Cult of Mystra's Folly. He also found a white facemask used to hide the identity of the member of the cult. He also noticed that the cultist had a tattoo of the double eclipse of Thorns and Vinter over the sun.
Moments later Biorne returns back to the tavern with another few casts of Ale for Ailent. He stops dead in his tracks as he notices the aftermath of a tavern brawl. He asked what happened and that’s when Wincen stated that they killed her. Biorne rushed over and saw the body. He yelled get Marger. The party asked where they would be, and he responded at the Temple of Angharradh. Allen rushed to the temple and informed Marger that there was an issue with Ailent.
Marger asks the party if they had any diamonds worth value. Allen gave up his diamond worth 250 gp. Marger pulled out hers of the same value and proceeded to cast resurrection on Ailent. Before the party's eyes, they notice her ashen body turned pink, and life returned to her. She was still unconscious so Biorne picked her up and brought her to her room. The party discussed many things with Biorne and Marger after this. They determined that these cloaked individuals have been tainting Ailent's memory and making her forget things from previous days. Everything was going on for three weeks up until the party arrived. This, caused Ailent to forget anything about the people in purple cloaks. After this, the party rushed upstairs and investigated the rooms that looked used. Sullivan found a box with a stone inside. He also found a device that played a message over and over. This message was a taunt to the party. By asking who they are and why they are interfering. It also thanked them for letting their comrade travel freely without hindrance.

Spellbook of the captured cultist of the Cult of Mystra's Folly. It has many languages and runes in Draconic, Infernal, Dwarvish, Aquan. Along with a watermark symbol of the The Achademy of Thorn'Adan. Also found a box with a stone inside.
