The Notorious Session 10: Trysts & Tales of the Most Dashing Rouge
General Summary
Late Evening Martius the 11th
The session started with the party finding Kriv tied up from the thief. Wincen went inside Kriv’s specialty bindings and assisted Kriv with freeing himself. While Sullivan went to find the thief that stole Wincen coin pouch. Sullivan wasn’t able to find him so he went back to Chun Chun Maru the newly named Magic Shop that he and the party received. Wincen in a not this time moment wanted to ask Kriv about how to make magical items. Wincen stated he wanted put this family gem into a weapon that had some magical properties activate after placing it on an anvil. At the mention of the anvil, Kriv immediately asked Wincen to take him to the anvil. Wincen wasn’t sure how this was to aid with making magic items but he escorted Kriv to the anvil.
Enroot to Chun Chun Maru Wincen noticed Sullivan but wasn’t able to get his attention. Sullivan entered and followed by Wincen and Kriv moments later. Sullivan hurried off to take care of some personal business. Wincen opened the door and didn’t notice Sullivan and got flustered Sulivan where are you. Upon saying that Solstice walked in holding Vera who looked like death. Wince tried to unfurl a bedroll for Vera but hits Solstice in the face and knocks everyone down. Vera was then covered by the bedroll instead of being on top of it. During this time Kriv asked if the anvil was in the shop portion. Wincen basically told Kriv just a moment. Allen came in and wanted to help with anything so he took Kriv down to the anvil. Sullivan came back and noticed this extreme chaos and got a slight headache at all the insane planning and assisting of all the situations. Also talks about the burning forest also happened during all the chaos. Wincen also in this time saw Sullivan and asked if he was able to find the guy. He wasn’t able to but Kriv said oh he is by the docks.
Kriv and Allan headed down to the anvil and Kriv cast Identify on the anvil. Kriv was able to find out that this was indeed the Anvil of Ancients that he has been studying for a while. He knows that there are only a few of these in existence. He also knows that the Cobalt Master was part of the creator of this device to help with making these special magical items. Kriv stated that if you want you can place your family weapons back on the anvil. Sullivan walks up the anvil and he disappeared into it. Inside he found out that he could see all his ancestors and that his weapon dismantled to the basic elements and components to all him to reforge the weapon to his creation. While he was inside the party just looked in aw as he was inside. Solstice carried Vera into the anvil but she and Vera ended up in their own instances. Once again, they saw their weapons dismantle to basic elements and saw their ancestors. Vera saw some other things she saw more of what happened with the attack on the forest and what happened to her mother and father. Everyone took their time in the anvil again. Once done they had a rush of urgency to find Wincen coin sack and head to the forest. Kriv once again said he thinks the thief was at the docks. When questioned he just said I cast Locate Object on the book I bound for him. They immediately took off and headed to the docks.
At the docks. A majority of the party went in stealthy however the thief recognized Sullivan and Wincen. So he took the advantage and hid from the power hitter Solstice. He ended up causing an extremely deadly attack on her. Vera was able to bring Solstice up. The thief then dove off into the water to getaway. Sullivan dove off after him however wasn’t able to catch the thief. The party was able to make quick work of the thief. With Vera sending an arrow between the eyes killing the thief. They found the coin sack and the book he stole from Kriv. The book was “Romantic Trysts & Tales of the Most Dashing Rouge.” The book also has blood on the last page. All of a sudden, the alarms sounded. Guards immediately arrived to the docks and halted the party. All the pirates jumped into their skimmers to avoid the guards. Wincen followed some of the guards and asked about what they where doing however in a gesture of ok I get it he accidentally flirted with the Goliath hard. The goliath just looked at him and a smirk came on his face. The guards ended up telling Solstice they were in trouble as they didn’t have a vigilante license to operate as law in Vail. They got a fine for the murder, and disturbing the peace. Among other bogus charges. In total about 200 to 300 gold worth in fines. The party decided they should talk to Luna about the license but have Kriv pay the fine. So, the party went back to Chun Chun Maru to talk with Kriv. The party arrived and they found Kriv lying on the floor unconscious.
