Ginger, the Turtle
The Pride of the Eternal Forge
Ginger is the mascot of the Eternal Forge clan and is consider to be "their greatest pride". Ginger is a giant turtle with large wheels that act as prosthetics for her two missing front legs.
Ginger was found near dead on the shoreline of Loch Ren. She had been savage by the hydra that was infesting the area: her front legs were devoured before the monster decided that trying to eat through her shell was too much effort and left her to die. She was found by a grung hunting party from the Eternal Forge who took pity on her and stablised her critical condition, even with the threat of a hydra potentially lurking nearby. When she was stable, she was carted back to the forges. It took a small team to nurse Ginger back to health. Heavy duty wheels were grafted to the front of her shell in order for her to move around unassisted.
Unable to exist in the wild on her own, Ginger became a permanent resident of the Eternal Forge. The grung quickly grew affectionate toward her and worked toward making her life as comfortable as possible. Many teams would come forward with modifications to Ginger's prosthetics: improvements to make her wheels articulate and give her full range of motion, additional support to make her body mass lighter and allow her to move faster than and turtle has before and reinforcements to her shell to protect her from any future attacks. There was not a single grung that did not contribute to the her well being; the clan wide effort strengthened the bond of the tribe, prompting the Golden Smithmaster Ett'Zihu Raz'Lay Sha'Wee to declare Ginger as "the Eternal Forge's greatest achievement".
