Gera is the mother of Stiggur Gurney's older son, Mika Gurney. While she was never more than a friend, she was attached to the court while she raised Mika, even after Stiggur married the Queen. Gera was a lady's maid who served Arda Talat the Younger, and a childhood friend of Stiggur and Arda.
