The Kingdom of Alamor
The kingdom throughout its long existence has striven to be the beacon of righteousness in a world that slips further into darkness with each decade. Quality of life in Alamor is among the highest in the world. The lowest of peasants are literate and educated, and a good portion of the country has even attended other higher institutes of learning across the world and within the kingdom. The kingdom itself is truly more of an empire, with two large vassal states within their control. Since the early 1500's, a parliamentary system has been implemented, with a senate chamber of 150 elected officials that preside over 150 broken up districts of the entire kingdom. However, the kingdom is still very traditional, as the king still holds enough power to maintain control. King Cormyr Cassinian and his family have been quite loyal to the wishes that are voted upon by the senators and does his best to listen to their issues and in turn, the people. The kingdom has been at odds with the Royal Draugen Empire for centuries and a dozen wars have broken out and peace has been brokered just as many times.
