King Cormyr Cassinian
At the end of the long hall, a older man sits. King Cassinian is a handsome bearded half elf, he sits dressed in a white and red tabard. His hair is jet black and has deep aged hazel eyes that sink into their sockets. He carries an aura of wisdom and experience. Sitting against his tall marble throne is a massive bastard sword, with a fist sized pear shaped buy laid into the pommel. Advisors and consulates surround him, speaking of the kingdoms business, ushering him to sign parchments left and right. The king is a just and strong man, he loves his country and vassal states, and will die himself to ensure their safety.
Cormyr is loved by his people and his vassal states. He is notoriously fair and honorable, and would not hesitate to die for his citizens.
The reign of Cormyr has been more trying than most of his predecessors. The rise of the King of Moors, who tormented his vassal state of Foridia. The War for the Crown in 1672 in Vedania. The Great War against Sereptra in 1642. The attempted recapture of The Queendom by the ancient Frost Giant empire and their Vestan lackeys. Lastly, the long standing warfare against Alamors arch enemy, the Royal Draugen Empire. Through all this strife, King Cassinian the IV has been stalwart and resolute throughout all these wars.
Although his Kingdom has been in a constant state of warfare, his subjects have enjoyed unparalleled freedom and prosperity. In 1673, just shortly after the Vedanian War for the Crown, he finally had the time to wed. He chose a strong woman, the Princess Nareena Windlass of the Kingdom of Freebridge. Only eighteen years of age, and quickly she became pregnant. Twins were born, Prince Cassamir and Princess Cela.
In 1680, whilst on a diplomatic mission to see King Alexander Hollyroot of Vedania, Cormyrs escort fleet was ambushed in the Gulf of Corair. The Alamorian escort fleet fought bravely, with only a dozen ships against the Draugen 3rd fleet which contained nearly one hundred ships. Cormyr was slain on the deck of his flagship, Lions Tooth.
This left a leadership void in the Kingdom, leaving the seven year old Cassamir to step up to accend to the throne. Whether or not his reign will be successful is yet to be seen.
