Royal Draugen Empire
The Empire, as its so aptly called. Is a brutal, absolute dictatorship monarchy that exacts its brutal interpretation of complete law and order over its thousands of subjects. The Empire only respects power and order, and any who oppose the divine right that the Empire lays claim to, will soon be in their many armies sights. Founded in 909 by migrant warlords from Tel Morath, the Draugen people rose quickly and began taking territories all throughout the Crista Islands and enslaving the settlers that reside on them. The fledgling empire used these people as convenient slaves to build their vast fortresses, foundries and slave armies. With fear and overwhelming strength, the people were quickly subjugated in the name of creating order in what the warlords called 'a world of chaos.' Since the empires founding, it has fought war after war for control of the center of the world, most notably against their rival state of Avalon. It is said that the empire can never be defeated, for their factories of war are nearly endless. If a Draugen fleet is sunk, its only a matter of weeks before another is raised and on the seas again. Naturally, a ruthless empire such as Draugen would attract all manner of foul creatures. Attracted to the overwhelming strength of the nation, evil dragons, giants and terrible sea people such as Sahuagin, have also chosen to serve the will of the emperor. More alarming than that, at the deepest level of the courts are Devils, who lend a hand as advisors to the emperor. The only thing the people of the Royal Draugen Empire respect more than warfare is law and order, at any cost it must be maintained.
For six years through 909-915, the settlers of the landmass waged wars for control of territory and power. The warlords clashed armies for years, with every battle a bloody victory with hundreds or thousands of causalities. It wasn't until Warlord Adros Proxia, a military genius, began to gain the upper-hand by unorthodox tactics, using the deep mountainous terrain of Draugen to his advantage. One by one the dozens of warlords fell to his brilliant tactics, and in 915 bent the knee to him and swore undying fealty. Impressed with Proxia's intelligence, ruthlessness and prowess, the Empire was founded, and with it the greatest military centralized nation to ever exist. Their legions seem to be endless, with brutal professional soldiers and fleets that can be replenished within months. It wasnt before long when the king of Hell, Asmodeus himself noticed the emperors gift for maintaining law and order by any means necessary. The king of Hell bestowed a great gift to the emperor, giving him powerful devil advisers to help him expand his reach of control. To this day the inner circle of the courts have devil advisers embedded in them. However, due to the corruption and sheer expansive control of the empire, The Kingdom of Alamor took notice and began to attempt to slow or stop the expansion. For hundreds of years the two nations have battled endlessly in stalemate after stalemate. In 1251, the Royal Draugen Empire landed a massive invasion force into the Kingdom of Alamor. Razing many villages and even cities as they pressed further into the kingdom. Since then, Alamor reinforced the eastern coast with great bastions of war and have managed to keep invasion forces off of the mainland. Yet, the war still rages on to this day.
