The Arav'altuvenar, or King of the Eldanara, is the de-facto ruler of the Kingdom of Ren and has been so for millennia. The current Arav'altuvenar is Eloras Emuin, a mighty warrior and scholar. He has sat beside his wife the Arav'altenener for 734 years. Eloras and Polta are kind rulers, focused on traditions and upkeep of the Gilded Tower and the three sea gates. They have maintained strong relationships with the The Kingdom of Freebridge and Hollymount, just as Eloras's father and father before him. The Kingdom has seen warmer relations with the Lordship of the Last Sylva and their ruler Queen Kylesa Venedrasall. Due to Kylesa being more open in terms of the strict borders set by past rulers, Eloras has chosen to help her bring her powerful but quiet nation into the international spotlight. Eloras' and Polta' only son, Eldred, has caught the eye of Queen Kylesa Venedrasall, and a marriage such as this could be what reunites the mighty High Elves and mend past transgressions that stemmed from the War of Idle.
