Things came to ahead for the Asylum Coterie where their paths would take them to Mexico within an ancient tomb, hiding something truly Infernal. This would end with the coterie disbanding. Lou would be left behind within the tomb of Mexico, Ace would walk away from Jack and Elyse with disgust over their actions. The remaining members, Jack and Elyse would leave Chicago with cargo to deliver to Milwaukee.

The Asylum Coterie where they had been separated - Lou and Ace in the labyrinth and Oblivion, Elyse and Jack summoned to an abandoned factory in Chicago.

Portia had summoned both Elyse and Jack, revealing an ancient underground structure within Chicago. Portia would reveal that she had manipulated the pieces to cause the explosion at the University, with the aim of hiding the trail of the mining operation to the ancient ceremony room.

Portia would also reveal that she had been manipulating Elyse for a number of years - Elyse's ghoul Chad being a thrall of Portia. She would then conduct a blood ritual, sacrificing Chad, the Nosferatu Martin and a number of Cartel members under Elyse's employ to open a portal to Mexico.

They would travel with Sicario, Miguel through the portal to retrieve a sarcophagus for Portia. Ace and Lou would escape the Abyss and find themselves transported into the same ancient Mesoamerican temple as Jack and Elyse.

Infernal creatures would awaken and chase everyone out. Miguel would fall behind - Jack and Elyse would escape through the portal with the sarcophagus. The portal only had one charge remaining - Lou would push Ace through the portal.

Portia would dominate the coterie and wipe their memories of her true identity, leaving her manipulations attributed to the Goddess - Helena of Troy.

In the aftermath, Portia would manipulate events to get Jack and Elyse out of Chicago to deliver the sarcophagus to Mother Anja of the Munich Hecata.
