Acheri

Acheri is a unique type of Demon that can materialize their own form without the need of use of a vessel, generally, if not always, taking the form of little girls. They use this form to hide any typical features that any Human would call monstrous.

Common Myths and Legends

In Indian mythology, an Acheri is the ghost or spirit, of a little girl who comes down from mountains and hilltops at night to bring sickness to humans, particularly children. The only defense against Acheri was thought to be a red ribbon tied around one's neck.
