The Nos Primogen seem off to you? Somethings up - he's far too twitchy and jumpy. Whatever's going on, it's gotta be big. You don't get to be as old as Khalid and get spooked easily - either that or there is something more nefarious going on— Wauneka to Rowan
The top of the
Nosferatu of Chicago, Khalid has served as their representative in the
Primogen Council since the start of
Prince Lodin's court. The Nosferatu migrated to Chicago after a long un-life traveling around the Middle East; legend has it that Khalid took part in the First Crusade - as a war-leader to the Muslims. Either way, Khalid immigrated to Chicago in 1871 and soon after joined Prince Lodin's court when he took over Chicago.
Khalid was a loyal member of Lodin's court - even backing Lodin during the Council Wars and the rise of
Maldavis. But leading into the 1990's, Khalid turned on Lodin and wished to see him deposed. He voted to overthrow Lodin in the last Primogen Council meeting; the outcome was unclear however as the War of Chicago would soon hit. Khalid's experience with war came as a boon for the Chicago
Camarilla, as he was one of the few Kindred to organize a defence. Khalid actively fought off the invading Lupine presence; releasing his own beast and showing all that the legends of his wartime prowess was more than just myth. Though these encounters would scar his face further, making the Nosferatu even more unrecognizable.
Of course, Lodin met the Final Death during the War. Khalid had little time to recover. The Chicago Flood soon hit and the Nosferatu were hit hard. Khalid had been swept away by the currents, disappearing for a short while. Before Khalid disappeared, it is noted that he was noticeably more erratic; he seemed to not trust anyone. He had arranged a meeting with fellow Primogen member
Critias - he had said it was the upmost importance; but that meeting never took place.
When Khalid returned, he merely explained that he had been forced into torpor underneath the city. When Critias asked Khalid of the nature of their meet; Khalid simply claimed to have no idea what Critias was talking about.
