Speaking Stones

A pair of stones imbued with twin spirits that facilitates communication between the two stone holders. To use, a short rite must be performed to wake the calling spirit (Cha + Rituals, difficulty = Gauntlet rating, additional successes increase speed of delivery). The caller must first cleanse a small area to perform the rite, sit down and hold the stone quietly for three breaths, and then recite no more than three words. If the rituals roll is successful, the message takes about ten minutes to arrive between most places on Earth and the Umbra, each additional success decreasing the time by one minute, as the spirit literally runs off to deliver the message with more haste and vigor.
