Duke Raylorn Hawkmoon

There are those that believe that the architect of the Northern Kingdom is not King Justarin, but his younger brother, Duke Raylorn.
Born the third child of King Valdemar, Raylorn and his older brother Justarin grew up close. Their sister Adrianna was significantly older and went away adventuring for a time, so the only people that the brothers interacted with were their parents, tutors, housekeepers, bodyguards, and each other.
It was when the pair met Princess Rhonwen that the idea for the Northern Kingdom was concocted. Raylorn recognized how much his brother was smitten by Rhonwen and jokingly offered that they should "join their kingdoms into one northern kingdom".
The next few years saw Justarin and Rhonwen "accidently meet" time and time again. The two headstrong lovers constantly challenged their parents on the match. Soon King Valdemar and King Alaric were forced to agree that there was no good reason not to wed the two. The betrothal was announced in Fullsun 2287.
Justarin was always destined for the throne, and was named King of Hawkmoon a short time after their father's death in AR 2288. His wedding to Rhonwen was a year later in 2289. Raylorn was best man.
When Rhonwen ascended to the throne of Brineven, the two declared that their kingdoms would be as one, the Great Northern Kingdom. Excitement gripped the air as Justarin named Raylorn Duke of Hawkmoon.
