Ironstar Mine

Hathor is the manager of Ironstar Mine. He has about three dozen miners, who are all intensely loyal to him, as he is to them. Many of these men and women were "adopted" by the mine after getting run out of this town or that, but all of them are loyal to Hathor and the mine.
A few years ago, Hathor broke into an old passage under his mines. He contacted the dwarven priest Tostig out of Hillsboro, and Tostig's adventuring group cleared out the area, complete with a spellcasting wraith and a summoned demon. He owes the lives of his family to Tostig and his adventuring companions.
Recently, a band of ogres moved into the area and have been causing trouble with deliveries to and from the mine. Contacted by the Gnarled Council in Wanesun 2321, Hathor agreed in theory to becoming part of the Gnarled Hills domain, dwarves typically being on the side of law and order, but he would only consider it if the ogres had been dealt with.
Hathor relies on two dwarven scouts, Baern and Vistra, to patrol the area and keep a look out for trouble. In the case of trouble, the dwarves move into the mine and seal it shut from the inside. They have enough stores to last for weeks if needed.
