Clovinar Abbey

The entry hall is floored in well-polished wood, with wooden ceiling and pillars extending all the way to the roof high overhead. The walls are painted in pastoral scenes, and tinted glass mosaic windows of many shades of color allow light into the hall. A balcony overlooks the hall from the second floor. Under the balcony a large area lined with pews leads to the main altar, which is screened off by a curtain except during worship services.   As you make your way past the pews, a young man comes out of the curtained area. He wears a yellow tabard with the symbol of the Sun Fane.   This newly built edifice was raised by the village, in honor of the aid rendered by the Sun Fane during the war against the Temple of Chaos. A somewhat distant cleric and his assistant officiate during services and otherwise serve their flock. Other than at services, anyone coming to the church must deal with the lesser cleric, the priest Calmert.   The honest Calmert is known for his zeal in obtaining contributions. The Prelate Talisen recently became the chief cleric of the church, taking over from the Canoness Varona, who left unexpectedly and has not returned. The villagers say that Talisen is not particularly friendly and his stern demeanor is a cause of some uneasiness.
