Black Quartz Inn
Located in Hillsboro, The Black Quartz was the brainchild of Vester Stonehew, an aging dwarven miner who thought he could set up a tavern/inn to compete with Lucky Landon's. Near Moonstone Manor, and Tostig's shrine to the Moradinsen, Stonehew was angling for the business of miners and dwarves, and the interior of the inn was decorated with mining equipment with a dwarven flair.
Though small, The Black Quartz is neat and compact, its walls solidly built of locally grown black wood planks. The overlapping black boards keep the valley’s bitter winds from sneaking in, but the naturally dark wood lends a gloomy air to the inn. Should the weather allow it, the shutters on the windows can be left open, allowing fresh air to waft through and dissipate the smells of wet woolens, sweaty bodies, and burning pitch.
Stonehew never saw a profit, and after a few winters, closed the tavern and set out back to Angbadur. He left the keys with Tostig, who rents it out to Landon when Lucky Landon's gets too busy.
Landon offers it to the companions for 5 sp/day each, which averages to 15 gp per month
