Blood Dagger

The infamous blood dagger is of great importance to the Zushia, the main culture of the vampires. All vampires belong to a subsect culture of the Zushia. For the longest time, the dagger was held by the Sceusia vampires until it went missing in the early 1220s OA. No one in the Zushia has been able to find the dagger, though rumors exist.

RUMOR MILL

New Owner: Rumors circulate about a new owner in charge of the dagger. Those in the Sceusia believe that someone among the Ubros holds onto the dagger, while the Ubros swear that they have not seen the dagger in centuries.
Power Beneath: Someone has started a new rumor that the dagger is possessed by an infernal. It is unknown who started it, but the rumor is spreading fast and a large portion of the Sceusia has been attacking the infernals with the intent to kill.

Significance

When the dagger was first created, it was a simple ruby dagger with an obsidian hilt. Then, a vampire of pure darkness came forward and saw his people being shunned. He took the dagger and drove it into his heart, letting the dagger soak up his blood and cause the blade to pulse with a new glow — a magenta rose hue. The dagger was found by someone within the Sceusia, poking through his corpse, now rotted away to nothing but a skeleton. For a while, it was unknown what the dagger could do until the person used the dagger to defend themselves and their enemy bled to death from a mere stab wound to the shoulder. Since then, the dagger has been used in countless ceremonies involving sacrifices and other important rituals.
The first ritual is a ceremony involving a night of blood feasting and eternal youth. The vampires would gather together and sacrifice five mortals ranging from elves, werewolves, khainae, avians, or sirens. By slicing each victim down the chest, the wound does not heal due to the magick bestowed upon the blade. When the last victim drops, the blood is drained into a vat that the vampires in attendance drink from to rejuvenate their youth that time has taken from them.

The Zushia never let the dagger out of their sight until its original holder was found slaughtered in their bedchamber and the murderer was never found.
