The Cystern Elves

The Cystern elves (also known as the Cysterean Elves) are a subrace of elves that live within the southernmost region of Evermist. These elves live primarily on the river's edges instead of constructing large castles or tree houses like their cousin elves. The Cystern elves create entire floating cities on large rivers. These cities are then moved by the strong currents of the water. Once a city is moved out to sea, a special ritual is conducted by a magical profession of elves, known as the River Willers. The River Willers conduct a ritual to force the city to travel to the nearest river outlet and return back to land before the city is lost at sea.
