"There is little in similarity to the bitter north, the temperate west, the wealthy east, or wild south, yet they all live together in delicate harmony to achieve this fragile dream of an Empire alive."
Southern Roscrea is a region of Roscrea, controlled by the Empire of Roscrea. It is considered to be wilder than its sister regions and has seen some of the fiercest fighting in the entire continent due to its shared border with the Orks and Arks of Malatata further south. It is sometimes referred to as the "Mane of Roscrea". It is home to the Lancheans, one of the ethnicities comprising the Roscrean Empire. Great swathes of land in the region are dedicated to the Lancheans's horses, as a sub-group of them are known as the "Horse Lords". As such, ranches dedicated to the upbringing of Lanchean horses dot the green prairies of the region.
Geography
Southern Roscrea stretches from the Crooked Peaks and Plains of Garnir to the West, to the Kenbarna Mountains to the East. It is well known for encompassing the Ordxer Forest, a mysterious and magical forest that separates Roscrea from Malatata to the south. The region is generally temperate and warm, even humid the farther into the Ordxer Forest one goes. The Hjules River breaks the region apart into West and East Southern Roscrea, with minor geographical and cultural differences. The west of the region is known for its green prairies, particularly around the Plains of Garnir, while the east is thicker with forest, hills, and overall more dense.
Culture
Most of Southern Roscrea is controlled by Kingdom Lanches, which owns all of the Western Ordxer Forest and its outskirts. The Lake Kingdoms also own a sizeable portion of the land, leading to a blend of the Lakeian and Woodland cultures.
A notable, amount of the populace heretical populace of the Empire lives in the region and believes in an offshoot of humanism, which the rest of Roscrea tends to believe in, called Hunanou. It differs from Humanism as such Helifex has created an accidental Prisce named Laila that embodies his compassion and charity, but as well as his concept of fair judgment. Hunanou believes she played a crucial role in the creation of humans, although some take the belief to an extreme and believe she is the sole creator of humans. She has cultists called the Matriarchs.
