Nahu'rians (Nah-eur-ians)

Nahu'rians are a species of intelligent life, that hail from the N'ahur Chain, located off the north western coast of Entalitildor. They grew from a primitive species, to the dominant force in the chain via a rouge Jaharen known as Maeldor.

Ansule

The Nahurians revere their ancestors with fierce respect, as Nahurians never truly die. When a Nahurian dies, their spirit remains on Wold instead of an afterlife for their people. The spirit of a Nahurian is called a Ansule. Ansule go through three stages of transformation. It takes three to five years for an Ansule to manifest in the physical world, however. As an Ansule progresses through these stages, they become generally limited in function and movement. A young Ansule is able to interact with the physical world, as well as the spiritual realm of Wold. These Ansule are able to continue fighting in the Nahurian armies while they remain in the first stage of death. It takes either an incredibly strong presence to be able to injure a Ansule, or a special type of enchantment on weapons or objects. This enchantment is only made through a very special powder made from a mineral called hearthbrim. After five hundred years of the Ansule living in the first stage of death, they begin to gradually transition into the second stage of death, where they are limited to one location, as their presence is bound to one spot. Special places and graves are created for an Ansule to travel and rest at as they transition to the second stage of death. This stage only lasts about one hundred years. The final stage of death for a Nahurian is called the Infinite End. The ansule's spiritual body completely eradicates, and the presence of the Ansule is restricted to one object. The ansule's presence is then split from the object to an unknown world. The ansule's presence can be called from a kin to the ansule's family, from touching the bound object.

The High Patriarch

The High Patriarch is the ultimate leader of the Nahurian race. The Nahurians believe that the High Patriarch's lineage is descended Maeldor herself, after bringing herself upon her children and creating mighty people among them. The High Patriarch rules from their capital city known as the City of Knaves.

Urandils

Urandils are the leaders specifically given land given to the Urandil by the high patriarch. They are the leaders of their land, and are responsible for sending thirty percent of their of their land's yield, whether it be soldiers, crops, or resources to the the High Patriarch.

Weather Temples

The Nahurians, being extremely magic-prone, are able to control the very weather of the land. They have set up temples known as "Weather Temples", which is a pyramid like structures with a large summit at the middle highest point, where a special Nahurian, known as a "StormCaller", rises to the summit of the weather temple, and controls the weather through their specially trained power to suite the need of the Urandil they are under the council of.

Masters of U'takath

The Nahurnians are known for their mastery over a specialized form of fighting, known as U'takath. This fighting form utilizes many different techniques involving wind magic, and those who master the fighting form are able to increase the speed of their attacks, making large and heavy weapons just as fast as a dagger. Most Nahurian soldiers are capable of wielding U'takath to some impressive degree, and special military units are created around the involvement of U'takath.

History

Creation

During the Holy Wars in Old Entailitildor, where heretics against Ilal-Bilendiuer were warring with the loyalists of their god, the heretics were losing the war. In a desperate bid for aid, the heretics asked for the help of the god, Uyat, and in exchange they would give them a sample from Entailtildor, which Uyat previously had never been able to attain. It is unknown what the sample from Entailtildor contained.   Then there came a time, after the fall of the Jaharen after the War of Divinity, when some did not take Aurorea's mercy and refused to go to Numre, they stayed within the corners of Wold instead and witnessed its creation. One Jaharen, known as Maeldor witnessed the creation of the races, and was filled with envy, per her nature. She would enter into Uyat's realm, Memen-pres, and steal the sample from Entalitildor. She would also steal a small amount of Rhine that the remaining Jaharen were saving to strike back at Wold. She would flee to a land Northwest of Entailtildor and use the sample and the Rhine to create a new race known as the Nahu'r in order to sate her need to create and to rule sometime around 3200 1E.

First Age

When Ilal-Bilendiuer discovered that the Jaharen, Maeldor had created life of her own, he was outraged and made his Elves swear to make the Nauhu'rians their sworn enemy, as he viewed them as abominations. The Dread-Wake War would begin in 3224 1E and last to 3245 1E, being the first large scale conflict between the Elves and Nahu'rians.
