Loraquinal

Loraquinal (Also referred to as the City of Swiftness) is one of the four holy cities of the High Elves, as it is where Ilal-Bilendiuer sacrificed his prisce, Fawift. Her corpse can still be found encased in glass at the city's center. It is the center and the maintainer of the famous Swift Gales that flow through Evermist, which allows for fast travel of the Elves and their griffons that flow through them. Loraquinal is the birthday of Naeryndam Glynynore, leader of the Ryo-Alluin.

Culture

Loraquinal is known for both its speedy inhabitants, but as well as some of the quickest and smartest debaters in all of Evermist. Races are often played amongst both children and grown adults, many races use the special Boots of Gusts, which allow for faster speeds and walking on otherwise impossible angles and slopes. Specific raceways are built into the city's architecture to both serve as walkways, buildings, and raceways.
Special musicians originate from Loraquinal, as they are able to harness the wind to play through their fingers and bodies to make sweet whistling noises while they dance. They are called the Gale Whisperers and trap some of the wind from Loraquinal in jars, and open them to dance and play elsewhere in Wold. Many Gale Whisperers serve as traveling musicians, bringing their talent across the lands. 
Open forum debates are held within the city, especially in the forum district, which serves as good training grounds for the swift debaters of Loraquinal, and trains them up to be quick on their feet and in their tongue alike.
