Bear-Cliff Estates

The Bear-Cliff Estates are a collection of properties owned by Roncrian nobles. The estates have long been seen as a stakehold by the Roscrean Empire to keep claim over Greater Frond. The name comes from the practice of hunters in the region to send bears over the cliffs to kill them. Many bear hides adorn the interiors of the estates.

History

The Bear-Cliffes were first settled some time after the Siege of Fire. They were sent by the then Emperor who wanted to stake Roscrea's claim in the newly conquered region. The nobles were met with "friendly Frondian hostility", and multiple pranks were enacted upon their lodging. 
The nobles would eventually retaliate by funding the building of several mines in the area that took away the focus of their maritime industry.
