Selvianne du Veyres
High Priestess
Selvianne du Veyres is the High Priestess of the Handmaidens of Freya. She carries herself in an almost regal manner. She is gentle when she speaks, but has an air of authority that is apparent when among the Handmaidens. She is often seen with her cat, Varessa. According to Selvianne, Varessa was found in Novigrad by Selvianne and has been her companion ever since.
According to Eydis, the herbalist in Lublow, Selvianne has been the leader of the enclave for several years longer than she can remember. According to Yrsa, Selvianne arrived in Skellige from Nazair all those years ago. The events surrounding the murder of Alina led to a shocking discovery: Selvianne was a type of vampire! A battle ensued when investigators Witcher Vorand Bas, the mage Wolfface and the elf mercenary Avallach managed to fight her to a point she decided to flee into the black of night. Where she went none could say, but she howled at those responsible for upsetting her "vineyard" would eventually pay.
