An Astonishing Find

Jerotus has published many journals over the course of his career as an explorer and travel writer, but it was this one, that caused the biggest stir. Not only did it add to one of the biggest mysteries of the valley, it also announced the discovery of a new species. Rumours of the contents of the journal had begun to spread around a week before it was released, so the anticipation from the public was high. Several shops sold out on the first day of release, and it is still Jerotus' biggest seller to this day.

Morning Entry

I am heading onto the island today to investigate the buildings I thought I saw last night when flying overhead. The ship is securely anchored and it shouldn't take too long to find these buildings, as this floating island isn't that big. I must admit to being rather curious as to how a village would survive up here, if in fact that is what it is. Well we shall soon find out.

Noon Entry

It is indeed a village. I haven't gone into it yet, just made a circle around it to make sure there was nothing dangerous lurking around. I haven't heard any sounds, other than that of wildlife, and the buildings seem to be in a great deal of disrepair. I think the place is abandoned, which may answer my earlier question about survival. Still, it is a mystery waiting to be uncovered, I shall head in after lunch and see what I can discover.

Evening Entry

I can't quite believe it, and I am going to double check when I get back to the ship tonight, but I think I may have found the missing village of Kilglen! How on earth it got up here is another mystery of its own, but other than the damage time has wrought, it is still intact. It is as if it was simply just laid down here by someone, and even though I saw no sign of anyone, the place wasn't as overgrown as it should have been, as if someone or something had been keeping the vegetation at bay.
