Dryad Tree

A Dryad tree can be of any species of tree. They are bonded to a Dryad. They are bigger on the inside, and also serve as the Dryads home. They have rooms in side. As the tree grows and matures the spaces within it also change, sometimes growing new rooms other times expanding an already existing one. The style and decor of the rooms reflects the taste of the dryad who has bonded with it, and change and evolve along with the dryads change in tastes over the years.   The trees are just normal trees until selected by a Dryad at which point the bonding defers upon them magical abilities.   The trees are planted specifically by the dryad at a certain age/life cycle point, then bond with the tree two years later. the tree is cared for by the dryad until it matures and starts producing rooms. Instead of groing fruit and seeds they instead grow rooms.   The trees themselves are magical, having absorbed a sufficient amount of magic. either just from magical radiation, or proximity to leylines. Dryads seek out these trees and bond with them. This bonding causes the tree to change in line with the Dryads wants and needs.   If the tree is sentient then there must be mutual consent to the bond. The tree stil grows rooms in line with the Dryad, but is more thancapable of changing it to something of its own desires.   All Dryad trees are capable of moving using hteir roots as propulsion. It is not something they do very often or over long distances, as it can cause disruption to their nutrient cycle. However they are capable of travelling any distance if their Dryad looks after them porperly.   Does the bonding give the tree any added benefits, such as resistance to burning / hacking is healthier etc. Also does it confer any benefits upon the Dryad. The tree provides a constant safe and comfortable place for the Dryad to be, It can also heal the Dryad if they become injured. leaf cocoons of healing.
