Aruun

Aruun is a large planet that has a diverse population living between the equator and the poles of the planet. Most people try to avoid the equator due to its extreme temperature swings and while the poles are a more consistent temperature they are always below freezing making living there difficult for most species. 

Notable cities include Vildon, Leysall, and Folis. While not all of these cities are tourist destinations they are noteworthy enough for word of them to have made it off-world and to the The Great Library in Golden Hawk.

Geography

This planet has a moderate amount of water comparable to Toril. The poles of this planet are in a state of perpetual frost and remain frozen year-round. The equator of the planet has patches of barren desert which can experience extreme temperature swings from night to day. Most of the generally habitable land exists between the poles and the equator. There are a number of mountain ranges, forests, oceans, and rivers in this region.

Climate

Temperatures can range from 130 degrees Fahrenheit in the barren planes along the equator in the summer to -20 degrees Fahrenheit at the poles in the winter. The temperature only varies slightly with the seasons leading to fairly consistent weather year-round.
