  The Harbingers quickly set up defenses, having caught wind of a movement by the Lyrans to attack their firebase. A sizable portion of supplies and time goes into upgrading their defenses to something heavier and more robust. A team is quietly put to work repairing armor for the Atlas to get it into shape to fight on the defense, and they finish shortly before the Lyrans' attack force reaches them.

  After the battle, the Harbingers start casting the net out for any useful equipment or personnel to help bolster a counterattack on the Lyrans. To this end they wind up hiring on two mercenaries found on the market, and convincing Aliandros Starscapes to invest one final time in assisting the Harbingers with an infusion of resources. A growing rapport with Kreiss allows the Harbingers to negotiate a more favorable sale of scrap retrieved from the battlefield. Unfortunately, being focused on the defense means Senator Pavil's efforts to seek help with his pirate problems must go unadressed and this costs them reputation with the High Senate.

  Following the punishing battle, Minos Firebase still stands but in a horrendous shape. Repair crews are put to work handling bringing the base back to operational status, while feelers where put out looking for viable technician teams to work on vehicles and 'MechWarriors. Only one barely-experienced team passed the background checks, but it would be a welcome addition to get to work on vehicles soon. Hearing of the trouble facing the Lyrans on Orenn, Commander Sethan offered to sell them the units salvaged from the battlefield but could not negotiate anything more favorable than a standard half-value.
