When I look upon a Caustic Reaper, there is only one thought going through my mind:   This is what death's pet would be.   --excerpt from the Magnificence of Dragons   Reapers is a fitting name for what is arguably the deadliest of the dragon species--a feat within itself. Of all the dragons, they are the most varied, taking physical characteristics from nearly every species. Their sizes range dramatically standing between 51-80 in (130-203 cm) and the color of their scales varies from green to red to dark grey. The only color they don't have is the famed light blue of Celestials.   Despite the wide variation, all Reapers have the same characteristics that identify them from other species. The first is their double horns, a trait unique among dragons. The second is that they are spotted. All Reapers have yellow spots on their bodies. The third feature is their tails. Similar to Horntails, Reapers have a bone protruding from the tip of their tails. In the case of Reapers, it's curved, similar to a scythe. They whet the bone on stones to sharpen it and use it to threaten prey. This is also what gave them their name.   The final feature of Reapers is they can't breathe fire. Instead, they expel a toxic, corrosive liquid. This substance breaks down organic materials quickly and leaves behind poisonous fumes that induce paralysis, unconsciousness or kill the target. Researchers are still unsure how the dragons are able to use this chemical without it killing them. They don't use this chemical when hunting, suggesting they can't re-ingest the chemical or it ruins the taste of the meat.
