No one knows why this evolution felt the dragon needed another weapon, but dragons don't seem to mind.   --excerpt from The Magnificence of Dragons     Silver Horntails are so named because of their shining silver scales and the large tusks at the end of their tails. Their tails are thicker than the other species and therefore shorter as a result. The exact purpose of their tail weapons is unknown, but horntails are quite adept at using it in hunting and combat.   They reach a maximum height of 80 in (203 cm), the same as Tonitrocirri , tying them for fourth-largest species.   Horntails prefer living in plains. They require more open space than other species because of how deadly their tails can be.   The shape of their tail-tusks is considered a sign of power. The more scars it has, the more powerful the Horntail is considered to be, a trait frowned upon in domesticated dragons.   The shining silver scales of a horntail are extremely coveted by humans both as pets and for making things. During the Great Rebellion, this species was hunted extensively until they were endangered.    Now, most Horntails live in the dragonlands and have a strong distrust of humans.
