Agðonnun (Ag-thon-nun)

The Agðonnun were an ancient species of humanoids that occupied the mountanous region of the Crow's foot, including the lands currently held by the Tribal Union of Melistern. Although they had various settlements above ground, they were mostly settled in the Upperdark , thanks to their great vulnerability to the light of the sun, which would make their skin burn and their eyes make permanently blind.

They were destroyed by a local elven kingdom, known only to the oldest of inmortals as the Kingdom of Dhhis in the in a long war that spanned over the course of the 20th century AoC.

Ormunnor, the 2nd Gate to the Pit

It is a well known fact to most of Argo's sages and wisemen that there used to be a literal permanent gateway to the Pit, located on the island of Ygody, some 200 miles west from Gotkolh. What few know is that that was not the only opening that was ever built, with the one located in Ormunnor, the old capital of the Agðonnun, being one of multiple spread over the continent, most of them having long fallen into disrepair since the days of the Melistern Empire.

Ormunnor was an underground city, a city that still has it's ruins standing, thanks to it's isolated position in the Upperdark. It however had a tunnel going up towards a outpost, the ruins of which had formed the basis which in the 2nd century AAA, more then 800 years after the city's fall, served as the foundation for the Melisternian town of Kelvingu.

Upon Kelvingu's own ruins the Orc city of Klilm would be built in the 9th century AZ. The current city itself has few that remember it's older history, since few good things ever came from it's ruins and age-old past. Yet the libraries still contain a Prabaiian manuscipt from the 5th century AZ that log an expedition to the city of Ormunnor.
