Structure

1451 DR: Neverwinter is destroyed when a small adventuring party (including Jarlaxle Baenre) awoke the primordial Maegera beneath Mount Hotenow
1467 DR: Lord Dagult Neverember, Open lord of Waterdeep, proclaims himself Open Lord of Neverwinter and begins the New Neverwinter movement to rebuild the city.
500,000 Dragons (gold) are Embezzled by Lord Dagult Neverember. He hides it in the Vault of Dragons, which he discovered after the burial of his wife, Alethea Brandath in the Brandath Mausoleum directly above the vault.
Dagult Hires a wizard to find him the Stone of Golorr in Neverwinter and uses it to hold his memories of the Vault location.
Dagult moves to Neverwinter to rebuild.
Dagult removes the eyes of the stone, hiding one in his late wife's locket to give to his estranged son Renaer Neverember. He hides another in his palace in Neverwinter, and the last he hides in the Brandath Mausoleum.
Various factions become aware that Lord Neverember is engaged in a grand scheme, of which the details are unknown. Many coin the scheme, "Neverember's Great Enigma." Many dick jokes rise in popularity.
1489 DR: Laeral Silverhand returns to Waterdeep and Lord Neverember is ousted from the position.
During the transition of power, Lord Neverember sends agents to receive the Stone from the palace. As the agents leave the city, Xanathar agents ambush and steal the stone.

The Cassalanters retrieve what they believe to be Neverember's Enigma, but is just one of the eyes, from the Brandath Mausoleum. They learn it is part of the Stone of Golorr.
Lord Neverember sends agents to Waterdeep. Many attempted to locate the stone. Dalakhar is assigned to keep an eye on Renaer.
Manshoonian Zhents steal the eye from the Protector's Enclave in Neverwinter.
Lareal Silverhand's auditors discover the embezzlement, and the news leaks
Zhentarim go the Xanathar to propose alliance, but Xanathar kills the Zhents and takes their eye. Gang war breaks out.
Lord Neverember learns that Xanathar stole the stone. Dalakhar is sent to infiltrate Xanathar Guild and steal the stone back. Dhalakar is not told about the eyes.
Jarlaxle Baenre arrives in Waterdeep and begins selling Nimbewrights.

Zhentarim kidnap Renaer and take the eye from his locket.
Dalakhar successfully steals the stone from Xanathar
Dhalakhars attempts to leave town are unsuccessful. Dhalakar attempts to rendevous with Renaer at trollskull manor, but by this time is actively being tracks by the Gralhunds, Zhents, Cassalanters, and others.
Dhalakar is killed by the Gralhund Nimblewright.
