Skittle
Skittle is a fish-obsessed seagull and one of Melvin le Gronx’s most reliable animal friends. He is curious, loyal, and endlessly enthusiastic about everything he sees, though he often misunderstands the basic purpose of common objects. Despite his lack of comprehension, Skittle possesses incredibly sharp vision and is frequently able to spot lost items, distant figures, or other details that escape others—so long as Melvin can explain what he’s looking for in terms Skittle understands.
Melvin first reached out to Skittle early in the party’s time at Trollskull Manor, asking the bird to stop by the Frightened Ferret from time to time. Since then, Skittle has become one of Melvin’s most regular contacts, especially in moments of stress or emotional weight. In Melvin’s vision during the Nightmare Bulb incident, Skittle appeared as one of three beloved companions—alongside Sylvester and Eira—who offered him comfort and a sense of home.
Though he may never truly understand the world around him, Skittle’s loyalty and keen eyes make him an invaluable friend to Melvin and, by extension, to the party.
