Otavio Wavesilver

Otavio Wavesilver was the husband of Lanessa Cassalanter and the father of Grayson. A member of the respected Wavesilver family, Otavio came from mercantile roots rather than nobility, but his intelligence and character earned him the respect of the Cassalanters. He and Lanessa were known to be deeply in love, and together they raised their son in Waterdeep with care and intention.
When Grayson was fourteen, Otavio and Lanessa left the city on what was believed to be a business voyage aboard a ship called The Grey Greer. The vessel never returned. No wreckage was found, and the ship was eventually declared lost at sea. Otavio was presumed dead alongside his wife.
Though not as publicly remembered as the Cassalanter name he married into, Otavio is recalled by those who knew him as a principled man with a quiet strength. His death marked the end of Grayson’s childhood and left a silence in the noble house that has never quite been filled.
