Lanessa Cassalanter Wavesilver was the daughter of Caladorn Cassalanter and younger sister to Victoro Cassalanter. Born into one of Waterdeep’s most prestigious noble houses, Lanessa inherited her father’s grace, generosity, and principled nature. She was known not only for her gentle heart and bright spirit but also for her brilliant mind for business. Even as a young woman, she demonstrated a sharp understanding of trade, negotiation, and finance, earning quiet admiration within the family and beyond.
Lanessa married Otavio Wavesilver, a young man from a respected mercantile house. Together they lived in Waterdeep and raised their son, Grayson, until tragedy struck. When Grayson was fourteen, Lanessa and Otavio left the city on what was said to be a business voyage but never returned. Their ship, The Grey Greer, was lost at sea, and they were presumed dead. No confirmed wreckage was ever recovered.
Following her death, Grayson was placed under the guardianship of her aunt, Myrna Cassalanter. Her absence deeply affected both Myrna and Grayson, though neither speaks of it openly. Myrna keeps a small portrait of Lanessa on the mantle in her private study, alongside a single white lily—her favorite flower.
