Jeremiah le Gronx
Jeremiah le Gronx was the oldest sibling of Melvin, Thistledown, and Reggie le Gronx. He left their home in Undercliff to pursue city life among the rock gnomes of Waterdeep, eventually settling in the Warrens. He married a rock gnome and built a life for himself there. Though communication between him and Melvin was limited, the few messages that did reach Melvin gave the impression that Jeremiah was happy.
During a devastating quake that struck the Warrens, Jeremiah and his family were caught in a collapse. Melvin arrived in Waterdeep just in time to hold his brother’s hand as he passed. The loss of Jeremiah, along with the death of his wife and children, had a profound effect on Melvin. It marked the end of his reclusive life in Undercliff and spurred his move to Mistshore, where he began to forge new connections in the city.
Though little is known of Jeremiah's life beyond those final moments, his death reshaped the course of Melvin’s life and opened the path that would eventually lead him into the party’s orbit.
