Gideon Quillwright
Gideon Quillwright was the son of Horace Quillwright and a journalist at the Waterdeep Wazoo. Known for his commitment to truth and journalistic integrity, Gideon clashed frequently with his father, whose control over the paper served powerful and corrupt interests. Gideon attempted to expose political scandals and injustices but was repeatedly overruled or censored.
He was among those killed in the massacre at House Quillwright, an event initially blamed on him by official reports. The party’s investigation later uncovered that Gideon had been resisting infernal influence and was not responsible for the murders or the smear campaign against the Master of Coin. His final writings and rejected articles revealed a man caught between loyalty to his family and a desperate need to tell the truth, even as danger closed in.
