Personal history

Early Life King Francas I was born in 2960 in Nairo, a city located in the state of Barin within the Northern Province of Bastia to Roland Sebastian and Lady Elara Vale of House Vale. House Sebastian had long been a prominent noble family with strong ties to the royal House Vale, having provided military support and counsel throughout numerous reigns. Nairo, known for its rich cultural heritage and strategic significance, provided an ideal environment for the future king’s upbringing. The Northern Province, with its rugged landscapes and strong military traditions, played a crucial role in shaping Francas’s early character and values.   Meeting Queen Esora King Francas I met Queen Esora at a diplomatic banquet hosted by the King of Marpia in 2990. Esora, the daughter of an influential noble from Marpia, was attending the event as part of her family’s delegation. Her mother, originally born in Bastia but raised in Marpia, had established significant connections between the two realms. Francas and Esora were introduced by mutual acquaintances and quickly formed a connection over their shared interests in governance, literature, and the arts.   Their initial friendship blossomed into a deep and mutual affection. Over the next few years, Francas and Esora corresponded frequently and met whenever diplomatic duties allowed. Their relationship was characterized by intellectual companionship and mutual respect, both recognizing in each other the qualities of a strong and wise leader.   Marriage In 2993, amidst the political turmoil following King Anthone IV’s death, Francas proposed to Esora, recognizing that their union would not only solidify a personal bond but also forge a powerful political alliance. Their marriage in early 2994 was a grand affair, attended by nobles and dignitaries from across the realm. The union of Francas and Esora was seen as a symbol of hope and stability, bolstering Francas’s claim to the throne and earning him the support of key factions within the kingdom.   Family Together, King Francas I and Queen Esora have three children who play significant roles in the kingdom:   Princess Bella: The eldest child and heir to the throne, Princess Bella, is poised to become the first Bastian (a title for a female monarch) in the kingdom’s history. Prince Adrios is known for his bravery and strategic acumen, earning respect both within the military and among the populace. As of now, Prince Adrios is not married, focusing entirely on his naval career and his duties to the kingdom.   Princess Penelope : The youngest of the three, Princess Penelope has opted for a more low-key role within the royal family. While she participates in royal duties, she prefers a life away from the public eye, focusing on charitable work and supporting various cultural initiatives. Princess Penelope’s choice has endeared her to the people, who appreciate her humility and dedication to social causes. King Francas I also has one sister, Princess Talita, who has been a steadfast supporter throughout his reign.
