Head Investigator Layla Seraphina Bowen (a.k.a. Red)
Layla Bowen is a driven young woman working for Carter West and the Lovecraftian Order as one of the five Head Investigators. She was once a victim of an attempted sacrifice by a cult of Shub-Niggurath, before the Order saved her. However, they were too late to save Layla's twin sister Sarah, who was transformed into a dread abomination by her sacrifice. This led to Layla being committed into Arkham Asylum under the supervision of Carter, who eventually cured her and inducted her into the Order. She is currently acting as a spy in Tiernay, watching the Lady of Tree House, who the Order suspects of eldritch power.

Body Features
Tall and lithe, but solidly built and muscular. Has a large scar on her upper chest near her neck that she tries to hide with scarves or high collars.

Quite beautiful, with round features and high cheekbones. She has freckles, bright green eyes, and wild red hair, and a small scar on her chin.

She spent some time in the Asylum, and now believes she can speak to her dead sister, though Carter doesn't see it as an issue, since it actually seems to help in her work.
