Paelum
Paelum is a gorgeous yet cold country. The capital, Astraza, rests deep within the Paelum Forest where it always snows and the evergreen trees litter the horizon. At night, it is said that you could see the effects of the Feywild on this realm through the glittering glamour in the night sky.
Paelum is an aristocracy. It is ran by about three families of High Elf known as the Court. They are the oldest families in Paelum and their blood goes back longer than most humans can even imagine. The legend is that the three heads entered the world from the feywild, guided by Divdia.
Culture
Paelum is a country of woods. As such, it is a prime location for species that love to hide in the forest such as Forest Gnome, Wood Elf, and Firbolg. Their reclusive nature does keep the country rather divided and seperated the more north you go. The capital and largest city in Paelum, Astraza, was built by the wood and high elves. Due to Paelum's connection with the feywild, many creatures touched by it have felt comfort and home here. This can lead to a lot of illusion and playfulness from the natives, if you can find them outside of Astraza.
