Zanna Mocklaw (a.k.a. Glittertoes)

Zanna is a Forest Gnome that travels around the country of Paelum, performing in various bars, taverns, inns, and town halls in hopes to get famous and make life a bit more colorful. Sponsored by an archfey, anyone would be lucky to catch one of her upcoming performances.

Personal history

Zanna was born as a second-generation refugee. Her family moved in hopes to start up life away from war and the looming threats on their family. So Zanna never knew of her family’s homelands but instead was born to forests of Paelum. Her family always told Zanna to stay out of trouble and not cause problems. Their small group of gnome families kept a near-invisible existence in the woods, letting the other folks argue about politics and wars. Zanna was different. She craved the spotlight and attention. As an only child with poor, cautious, hard-working parents, there was little time for her games and gimmicks. So she took her performances to other people and outside of the house. They were childish little shows of illusions and woodland creatures but they quickly evolved the more interest she gained. When she grew old enough to adventure to the nearby towns by herself, she took her performances there. Unfortunately, she was far less accepted in the big cities. People mocked her performances and shooed her away. Heartbroken after a performance, she was approached by a colorful stranger. Introducing himself as simply N, he offered Zanna the chance for fame as he saw possibility in her talent. He simply asked her to fulfill some requests now and then. In hindsight, Zanna should have asked more questions but it was the first time in a long time someone took interest in her talents and she jumped at the chance. It was only shortly later, telling the story to her parents that she learned she met a fey deity.

Employment

Zanna is a traveling performer. She is seen mostly in the Wood Elf villages in Paelum where she dazzles the audience with a combination of acrobatics and illusions, along with her squirrel assistant.
