Cassius Roman was banished from the overworld of Vyrvania about 1000 years ago. Rumour has it that he was very close to Garrick Thornwood back in the day, but they had a major falling out over something that has not been disclosed to the people of Vyrvania. It is also whispered that he still has links to Joseph Thornwood who seems to have one foot in both the overworld and underworld.
Cassius founded The Shadow Syndicate with 12 other banished vampyr nobility. He is considered their leader and is also known as The Shadow Prince. The Shadow Prince title also stems from his shadowy nature, preferring not to associate with others apart from important business and leadership matters.
He is also an expert mind-controller, who has been seen to use this talent to make even the most heinous of creatures do his bidding. And to add to his many talents he is also a powerful glamorizer who allegedly seduced an important vampyr noble by making them think they were with their mate!
He is also almost always seen wearing a fedora which is thought to have magical properties. Could this be what increases his mind-control and glamorizing powers?
It is generally thought that Cassius' ultimate aim is to overthrow Garrick and be the ruler of all Vyrvania...but is this for revenge for his banishment or is he just consumed by the need for more power?
And surely he must have a weakness? It is thought he still pines for the noble vampyr woman that he is rumoured to have seduced. Maybe he even has an heir? Could this be his downfall?

If he does venture into the public domain he is usually seen wearing a mask. It is suggested this is to hide a burn scar. If this is true, nobody seems to know how he received it.
