The leader of the Prime Tempest Conclave

Aethervein is the title held by the philosophical leader of the Prime Tempest Conclave, a guild of mages with focus on experimentation and development through magical means.

Qualifications

To be qualified to become Aethervein, one must have been part of the Conclave for the majority of their life, and must be an active member. This includes always working on a project, of a way to develop and help the world. The Aethervein evaluates if a member does enough and has enough good ideas to be their successor. This has also been criticiced, as the Aethervein will always chose someone with similar future plans as themselves, denying the organization the chance to explore other areas.

Appointment

An Aethervein is appointed whenever the previous Aethervein dies. The Aethervein decides at the end of each year who will replace them if they were to die, and this choice must be updated every year until their death to make sure the successor is always relevant and the most prominent and promising.
The new Aethervein must finish all their ongoing experiments, and then burn down their old "laboratory" so that they may never return to experimenting. Then they will take their office in Tingsbreach, where they will operate from for the rest of their life.

Duties

The Aethervein has a purely theoretical and philosophical duty, and does not participate in experiments. They are the one to be held responsible for all actions of all members of the Conclave. Tasked with keeping track of what every member is doing, they make the final decision on what is allowed to be done. All future experiments must go through the Aethervein at first, and the Aethervein must allow it.
Members who go against these rules are immediately dispelled from the organization, and will always be watched to make sure they do not continue their experiments.
In this sense, the Aethervein holds all power and decides the direction the organization will take.
